"The Petteway” Differentiators & Approach…

PROJECT / CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

We combine our organizational development and compliance expertise with our project management experience to bring turn-key solutions to every project

Several of our Construction Managers have been licensed contractor/owners and developers giving them an understanding of the flow and process of construction as well as the budgetary restraints of a project. This understanding allows us to better manage the differing priorities and help guide each of the stakeholders to focus on the work that drives (or hinders) the critical path. We strive to attain the highest degree of client satisfaction on every project.

CONSTRUCTION RISK MANAGEMENT & PROJECT CONTROLS

Our focus on managing the overall risk of construction is what separates Petteway Management Group from other Construction Management firms. We focus on looking beyond the immediate challenges. Our goal is to see those things that may prove to be a challenge to the project in the future (and successfully mitigate them) versus working in a reactive mode.

Our greatest tool in this is the use of the Construction CPM Schedule in recognizing the critical path of the work to ensure that all parties understand the overall importance of the schedule as well as creating a clear understanding of all the activities that can drive the completion out.

To ensure the project is on-time and within budget, we focus on managing specific areas of risk. These include:
• Schedule Risk (both delay and acceleration)
• Budget Risk (cash flow management/cost control)
• Scope Risk (missing elements/scope growth issues)
• Contracting Methods (whether GMP/Design Build/Lump Sum etc…)
• Procurement Risk (long lead times/price volatility and scope impact)
• Design Risk (poor execution on construction plans and specifications)
• Value Engineering Risk (unintended consequences)
• Inter-relational Risk (how does this project impact other projects)
• Litigation Risk (potential pre-claim setups/claim development/defense)
